- Cheile Bicazului – Harghita SlopeCheile Bicazului, Harghita slope, represents the western sector of the gorge carved by the Bicaz River through Jurassic and Cretaceous limestone, with walls exceeding 300 m in height in the "Gâtul Iadului" area. The zone is included within Parcul Național Cheile Bicazului–Hășmaș and shelters endemic species of rupestral flora and mountain fauna. Access is via DN12C, near the locality of Lacu Roșu, Harghita County.
- Lacul Rosu HarghitaLacul Roșu, also known by its Hungarian name Gyilkos-tó (the Killer Lake), is a natural dam lake situated in the Munții Hășmașul Mare, Harghita County, at an altitude of approximately 983 metres, near Cheile Bicazului. It formed in 1837, following the collapse of a slope of Muntele Ghilcoș, which blocked the valley of several streams. The lake is renowned for the petrified conifer trunks that pierce the surface of the water and for its reddish colour caused by iron oxides. It is the largest natural mountain lake in Romania and part of the Cheile Bicazului-Hășmaș National Park.
- Lacul Sfanta AnaLacul Sfânta Ana, located in the crater of the extinct volcano Ciomatu Mare in Harghita County, near the resort of Băile Tușnad, is the only volcanic lake in Romania and one of the few in Europe. Situated at approximately 950 metres above sea level, the lake is fed exclusively by rainwater and snowmelt, giving it a remarkable purity. Together with Tinovul Mohoș in the neighbouring crater, it forms a nature reserve of exceptional scientific value.
- Sfântul Ilie Monastery ToplițaThe Sfântul Ilie Monastery in Toplița, Harghita County, is an Orthodox monastic settlement for monks, founded by Miron Cristea — the first Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, a native of Toplița. Nestled at the foot of the Munții Călimani, the monastery houses a historic wooden church dating from 1847 and a museum containing old icons and ecclesiastical books, making it one of the most important centres of Orthodox spirituality in eastern Transylvania.
- Tinovul Mohoș Nature ReserveTinovul Mohoș is a peat bog nature reserve in Harghita County, located in one of the twin craters of the Ciomatu volcano, at approximately 1,050 metres altitude, in the immediate vicinity of Lake Sfânta Ana. A former volcanic lake transformed into a peat marsh, Mohoș shelters relict plants from the glacial era and carnivorous species such as sundew. Its thick peat layer, reaching up to 10–20 metres, makes this bog a unique site in Europe.
- Borsec ResortBorsec resort, situated at approximately 900 metres altitude in the north-east of Harghita County, is one of the oldest and most renowned spa resorts in Romania, nicknamed "the Queen of Mineral Waters". Surrounded by mountains and spruce forests, the resort developed around dozens of carbonated mineral water springs, whose therapeutic qualities have been recognised for centuries. Borsec water was, as early as 1804–1806, the first bottled mineral water in Europe.
