From Bicaz Port, on the shore of Lake Izvorul Muntelui next to the DN15 road, a short distance upstream of the dam, sightseeing boats run trips of about 30 to 35 minutes in the warm season. Rowing boats, motor launches and pedal boats can also be hired at the port.

Bicaz Port lies on the shore of Lake Izvorul Muntelui (Lake Bicaz), next to the DN15 road, in the town of Bicaz near the village of Dodeni, a short distance upstream of the Bicaz dam. The floating hotel „Lebăda” is moored next to the landing stage; according to viziteazaneamt.ro (2019), passengers board the sightseeing boats from that area.
Boat trips on the lake have been run for many years: a guide published in 2014 described the mini-cruise from the port towards the face of the dam and then towards the upper end of the lake, past the villages of Grozăvești, Ruginești, Chirițeni, Buhalnița and Hangu, with views of the viaduct, the Piatra Teiului rock and the Ceahlău massif. In 2024 the Neamț County Council listed boat, pedal boat and steamboat rides on Lake Izvorul Muntelui among the activities available in the county.
According to a guide from August 2026, a trip takes around 30 to 35 minutes, and in season the boats „Reșița” and „Romsilva” usually operate. In July 2026 TVR Info reported that the boats leaving from Bicaz Port were full and that fast motor launches could be hired at the port to reach quieter parts of the lake. SUP, kayaking, canoeing and fishing are also practised on the lake.
The boat trips are seasonal, and the timetable and conditions are available directly at the port.
