Năvodari Beach
Năvodari Beach is located on the Black Sea coast, in the northern part of Constanța County, north of the Mamaia resort and south of Capul Midia. It extends approximately 6 km in length, with an average width of 80–100 m, flanked by Lake Siutghiol to the west and the Black Sea to the east. The fine, yellowish sand is of fluvio-marine origin, deposited through the combined action of coastal currents and waves. The sea depth increases gradually, reaching 1.5–2 m at approximately 50–70 m from the shore, making it accessible to swimmers of all levels. The average water temperature during the summer season ranges between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius. The beach is organized into commercial sections with sun loungers and umbrellas — including One Beach, Dizzy Beach, Havana Beach, Keep Going Beach, and Nautic Beach — with beach bars, terraces, and restaurants in the rear area, at prices more affordable than those in the Mamaia resort. The northern part of the beach, towards Capul Midia, is generally less developed and more suited to relaxation without amenities. The town of Năvodari, with approximately 35,000 inhabitants, developed as a petrochemical centre and is home to the Petromidia Refinery — the largest in Romania. The area has been inhabited since antiquity, with evidence of human presence in the surrounding area dating back to the Bronze Age. Năvodari Beach offers a direct and more affordable alternative to Mamaia for tourists visiting the northern part of Constanța County.
