Kalinderu Ski Slopes, Bușteni
The Bușteni ski area consists of the Kalinderu 1 (about 1,500 m) and Kalinderu 2 (about 1,100 m) runs, in the north of the town at the foot of the Bucegi Mountains, at about 1,000 m altitude. They are served by the Kalinderu chairlift (2003), which climbs from 978 m to 1,260 m, and have snow cannons and floodlighting.

The ski slopes of Bușteni, Kalinderu 1 and Kalinderu 2, lie in the northern part of the town at the foot of the Bucegi Mountains, at about 1,000 m altitude. Kalinderu 1 is about 1,500 m long, while Kalinderu 2, laid out in 2011, is about 1,100 m long and 70 m wide. The runs have snow cannons, and since December 2011 Kalinderu 1 has had floodlighting on 66 poles.
Both runs are served by the Kalinderu chairlift, the only cable installation in the ski area. It is a detachable four-seat chairlift built by Leitner in 2003, with 37 chairs fitted with protective bubbles. It climbs from 978 m to 1,260 m over a length of 1,011 m and a vertical rise of 282 m in about 3 minutes 20 seconds, carrying 1,200 people per hour. It runs in winter and summer.
Next to the slopes is a leisure park with a beginners' slope, and at the top of Kalinderu there is a run set aside for sledges. Ski and snowboard rental outlets operate at the foot of the slopes.
The slopes are about 1 km from the town centre, with Bușteni railway station, on the Ploiești-Brașov line, and the DN1 road.
