Lacul Verde (Green Lake), Sovata
Lacul Verde (Green Lake) is a shallow salt lake in the spa resort of Sovata, Mureș County, north of Lake Ursu, within the „Lacul Ursu și arboretele de pe sărături” nature reserve. It formed at the same time as Lake Ursu and takes its name from the colour of its water.

Lacul Verde lies in the Sovata-Băi resort, north of Lake Ursu, at the foot of the Salt Mountain, a vegetated hill of salt behind the Verde and Roșu lakes. Lacul Roșu lies right next to it, to the north-west. The Verde and Roșu lakes formed at the same time as Lake Ursu, and their names come from the colour of their water.
It is a shallow salt lake, 1-2 m deep. Like the other lakes of Sovata, it formed on the salt massif on which the town stands.
The lake is part of the „Lacul Ursu și arboretele de pe sărături” nature reserve, a 79-hectare protected area designated by Law no. 5/2000, and can be seen from the paths that link the lakes of the resort.
